This itinerary includes an overnight stay in the beautiful Draa Valley, breaking up the journey and allowing for a deeper immersion into the landscapes and culture of southern Morocco before venturing off-road to the vast, remote dunes of Erg Chigaga.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Agadir → Taroudant → Taliouine → Zagora Our adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your accommodation in Agadir. We drive east to Taroudant, a historic walled city. After a short visit, we continue through Taliouine, the center of Morocco's saffron production. Our journey then takes us across the mountains and down into the magnificent Draa Valley, a lush ribbon of palm groves. We'll arrive in Zagora, where you'll have dinner and spend the night in a hotel.

Day 2: Zagora → Mhamid → Erg Chigaga Dunes (4x4 Adventure) After breakfast, we continue south to Mhamid, the "gateway to the desert." Here, we switch to a 4x4 vehicle for a thrilling off-road journey into the wilderness. We'll cross different desert landscapes before arriving at the magnificent Erg Chigaga dunes. In the late afternoon, you will embark on a camel trek to watch the sunset from atop the high dunes. You'll then settle into your traditional Berber desert camp for a delicious dinner and a magical night under the stars.

Day 3: Erg Chigaga → Foum Zguid → Taznakht Wake up early to witness a spectacular desert sunrise. After breakfast at the camp, our 4x4 adventure continues on a different route, crossing the vast, sun-baked expanse of Lake Iriqui. We'll follow a former Paris-Dakar Rally track to the desert town of Foum Zguid. From there, we drive to Taznakht, a town renowned for its beautiful, hand-woven Berber carpets. You will have dinner and spend the night in Taznakht.

Day 4: Taznakht → Taroudant → Agadir On our final day, we begin our journey back towards the coast. We'll drive through the mountains, passing through Taroudant again, before arriving back in Agadir in the afternoon, where your relaxed and wild desert tour concludes.
